Biography

Tongari Kids is a three-member Japanese techno J-pop unit. The members are Grotes F. Nipopo (now Nipopo, born January 4, 1976 in Saitama Prefecture), Mr. Potato Anabebe, and Hanihoheniha. Their first single "Tongari Kids I" was released on March 16, 2005, and included the songs "B-DASH (Ver. HANAGOE)" and "MEGANE (Ver. HANAGOE)". The representative song is "B-DASH". This song was sampled from the background music of the 1985 Family Computer game "Super Mario Bros." and was released in 2005, 20 years after the game's release. The song attracted attention on radio broadcasts in Nagoya, and ranked high not only in CD sales, but also in wire broadcasts and cell phone ringtone requests.
