Tommy Peoples, born on September 20, 1948, in St Johnston, County Donegal, Ireland, was an Irish fiddler who performed in the Donegal fiddle tradition. He began his musical journey playing in the fiddle style of East Donegal and became a member of various traditional Irish music groups, including The Bothy Band. In the late 1960s, Peoples started performing solo and released An Exciting Session with One of Ireland's Leading Traditional Fiddlers in 1976. Subsequent albums include The Iron Man (1985) and The Quiet Glen / An Gleann Ciúin (1998). He also collaborated with notable musicians such as Paul Brady and Matt Molloy and authored a self-published book titled à Am go hAm - From Time to Time in 2015. He passed away on August 4, 2018, at the age of 70.
