Biography

Emerging on the Chicago rock and adult contemporary scenes in the early aughts via the Orchard-distributed Redcap Records, seasoned singer-songwriter Tom Fuller debuted in 2005 with Chasing an Illusion, a tender, largely acoustic effort taking cues from some of his musical heroes including Bon Jovi, Paul McCartney and Cheap Trick. His second LP, Abstract Man, proved more popular, with its breezy lead single “Only in America” garnering significant airplay on the American airwaves. Produced in its entirety by GRAMMY Award-winning beatmaker Rick Chudacoff, the album marked the beginning of a prolific musical partnership between the pair, who have since gone on to work on several more LPs together. Fuller’s fourth album, 2011’s Ask, marked another career highlight for the burgeoning musician, with two of Paul McCartney’s bandmates, drummer Abe Laboriel Jr and guitarist Brian Ray, contributing to the project. Charming audiences with his charisma and distinctive demeanour between releases and opening shows for the likes of Blue Öyster Cult, Rusted Root and Ted Nugent, Fuller has since maintained a prolific output, returning in 2020 with an introspective sixth LP, Waterfall.
