Biography

Tessa Rose Jackson, born 22 August 1992 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, is a singer, songwriter, guitarist and keyboardist whose folk‑oriented work reflects her multicultural upbringing. After studying piano at the Junior Jazz College and a year at the BRIT School, she released her debut album Songs from The Sandbox in 2013 under the pseudonym Someone, followed by the single "Change Time" used in an IKEA commercial. Her first full‑length release as Tessa Rose Jackson, Shapeshifter, arrived on 10 September 2021, featuring a cover of Bob Dylan’s "Blowin' in the Wind". Subsequent albums Owls (2023) and The Lighthouse (2026) expanded her catalog, while the 2024 single "Illusion" added to her growing discography. Tessa Rose Jackson has composed music for films such as My Father Is a Plane and the video game Life Is Strange, and her work has been featured by Audi, Google Nexus, HBO Max and Netflix.
