Thomas Gansch is an Austrian trumpet player born on December 31, 1975, in St. Pölten. He established a musical foundation within a family of brass musicians, including his father, composer Johann Gansch, and his brother Hans Gansch. Gansch began studies at the Vienna Music School at age 15 and co-founded the brass septet Mnozil Brass in 1992, performing as first trumpeter. In 1999, Gansch joined the Vienna Art Orchestra and subsequently established the ensemble Gansch & Roses. His professional career featured the design of the âGansch Hornâ, a rotary-valve trumpet manufactured by Schagerl. The discography included the albums Alpen und Glühen (2022) and Live at Wiener Konzerthaus. Gansch specialized in contemporary jazz and brass music throughout his professional history.
