Nigerian producer London, also known as Thizislondon, crossed over to the other side of the studio console with the hit "PinaColada" in 2024. Born Michael Ovie Hunter in Kaduna, Nigeria, on October 21, 1999, to a Nigerian mother and British father, he practiced drums and discovered studio work, which became his favorite pastime. He made his producer debut in 2018 with DJ Tunez, before working in Lagos alongside BabyFresh, for Mavin Records. He co-produced Crayon's debut EP, Cray Cray (2019) and, after an initial collaboration with Rema on the Bad Commando EP, enjoyed success with the album Rave & Roses (2022), whose single "Calm Down" became an international hit covered and amplified by Selena Gomez. London also worked with Celia, Alpha P, Tiwa Savage, Wizkid, for whom he produced Made in Lagos (2020), Ayra Starr, Johnny Drille, Ladipoe and the soundtracks to the films Coming 2 America (2021) and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022). In 2024, he embarked on a singing career under the name Thizislondon with the hit "PinaColada", in collaboration with 6lack, which charted in the Afrobeats charts at No. 16 in the USA and No. 10 in the UK.
