Biography
This Beautiful Mess is a Dutch Christian rock band formed in 1997 in Vlissingen. Initially named Subatlantic Starfish, they changed their name to This Beautiful Mess in early 2001. Their debut single "Clean" was released in April 2001, followed a month later by their first album Falling on Deaf Ears. The success of this album led to a contract with American indie label Deep Elm Records. In October 2003, they released their second album, Temper the Wind to the Shorn Lamb. The band toured Europe in early 2004 but became inactive for several years as members pursued other projects. They returned with the EP Away with the Swine in November 2006, which was later expanded in 2007 and released as a full album in Japan.
