The William Blakes, a Danish pop rock band, formed in 2008. The group consists of drummer Fridolin Nordsø, guitarist Frederik Nordsø, lead singer and songwriter Kristian Leth, and keyboardist/ trumpeter Bo Rande. Their debut album, Wayne Coyne, was released as an homage to the lead singer of The Flaming Lips. The band's follow-up albums, Dear Unknown Friend (2009) and The Way Of The Warrior (2010), were recorded in less than a week at their house in Sweden. In 2011, they won two Danish Music Awards for 'Best Album' and 'Best Rock Group'. They also received the Danish Crown Prince and Princessâ Culture Award and the Gudman Foundation Award in 2012. The band has released several albums since then, including An Age of Wolves (2012), 1991 (2019), and Europa (2020). They created their own record label, Speed of Sound, to release these albums.
