Biography

The Wild Feathers is an American country rock band formed in 2010 in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. The group was founded by Ricky Young, Joel King, Taylor Burns, and Preston Wimberly. They signed to Interscope Records before playing any live shows or recording songs, but were later dropped and signed to Warner Records. Their debut album, The Wild Feathers (2013), produced by Jay Joyce, peaked at Number 1 on the Billboard Heatseeker's Chart and number 109 on the Billboard 200. The single "The Ceiling" (2013) peaked at number 7 on Adult Alternative Songs. Guitarist and vocalist Wimberly left the band in late 2015, and drummer Ben Dumas joined following their debut album release. Their second studio album, Lonely Is a Lifetime (2016), peaked at number 4 on the Heatseeker's Chart. Other notable album releases include Greetings from the Neon Frontier (2018), Medium Rarities (2020), and Alvarado (2021).
