The Vintage Caravan, a rock band from Ãlftanes, Iceland, was formed in 2006 by Ãskar Logi Ãgústsson (vocals, guitar) and Guðjón Reynisson (drums). The band became known for their hard rock sound influenced by classic bands like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, blending it with a modern touch. Their debut self-titled album was released in 2009. In early 2012, the band signed a deal with Icelandic record label Sena ahead of work for their second album. Alexander Ãrn Númason shortly joined on bass before the release of Voyage in 2012 initially by Sena, which included the video for "Expand Your Mind" that reached four hundred thousand views on a video streaming platform by July 2015. The band signed with Nuclear Blast which shortly after re-released Voyage to a much wider audiene. The band's lineup changed in 2015 when Guðjón Reynisson left, and Stefán Ari Stefánsson joined as the new drummer. Their subsequent albums Arrival (2015) and Gateways (2018) were also released under Nuclear Blast. In 2021, they signed with Napalm Records for their fifth album Monuments. In 2023, they released the live album The Monuments Tour, followed by the studio full-length, Portals, in 2025.
