Biography
The Unguided is a Swedish melodic death metal band formed in 2010 by Richard Sjunnesson, Roger Sjunnesson, Roland Johansson, and John Bengtsson. The core members were former participants of Sonic Syndicate. Their initial steps included the release of the EP Nightmareland (2011) through Despotz Records. In 2011, The Unguided released their debut single "Betrayer of the Code" (2011), followed by the debut album Hell Frost (2011). The band continued with new members, including Richard Schill replacing John Bengtsson in late 2012 and Jonathan Thorpenberg replacing Roland Johansson in 2016. Subsequent albums include Fragile Immortality (2014) and Lust and Loathing (2016), along with the EP Fallen Angels (2014). Other notable album releases include And the Battle Royale (2017), Father Shadow (2020), and Hellven (2025).
