Biography

The Three Chuckles were an American rock & roll group from Brooklyn, New York. Formed in 1949, they initially gained attention by playing at East Coast establishments. In 1954, they released their first single, "Runaround" / "At Last You Understand", on Boulevard Records, which peaked at number 20 on the US national chart after being picked up for national distribution by RCA Victor. Following Phil Benti's departure in the mid-1950s, Teddy Randazzo joined as a replacement and became the lead singer and songwriter. Their subsequent hits included "Times Two, I Love You", which reached number 67 in 1955, and "And The Angels Sing", which hit number 70 in 1956. In 1956, they performed in the movie The Girl Can't Help It and were featured in Alan Freed's film Rock, Rock, Rock. Randazzo left for a solo career shortly after, and Jackie Farrell joined as his replacement. The group disbanded by 1958.
