The Third Power was an American psychedelic hard rock band from Detroit, Michigan. Formed in 1968, the group consisted of guitarist Drew Abbott and bassist Jem Targal, who shared lead vocal duties, along with drummer Jim Craig. The band released their first single "Snow / Me, You & I" in 1968. In 1970, they signed to Vanguard Records and released their debut album Believe. However, The Third Power disbanded in 1971. After the band's dissolution, Abbott went on to work with Bob Seger, while Targal pursued a brief solo career.
