Biography
The Terrible Twos is an alternative children's rock band from Lawrence, Kansas formed in 2005. The group consists of Matt Pryor, Dustin Kinsey, Eric McCann, Bill Belzer, and Jason Rich. After the dissolution of Matt Pryor's previous band, Get Up Kids, he shifted his focus to writing children's music inspired by his own experiences as a parent. The Terrible Twos released their debut album If You Ever See an Owl... independently in 2005, which was later re-released on Vagrant Records in 2007. This album featured illustrations by Travis Miller and aimed to engage both children and parents with its music. Following this, the band recorded their second album Jerzy the Giant, released on July 29, 2008, also through Vagrant Records. The Terrible Twos performed sporadically at various venues, including children's bookstores, often alongside tour dates with Matt Pryor's other band, The New Amsterdams.
