Biography
Indie rock band The Solutions was formed in South Korea in 2012. Originally a duo featuring Naru (guitar and backing vocals) and Park Sol (vocals), the two had pursued solo careers and released albums before coming together as The Solutions. Writing and recording songs in English, the duo released their self-titled debut album in 2012 on the Happy Robot Records label. The group expanded to a quartet with the addition of bassist Kwon Oh-kyung and drummer Park Han-sol and released their second album, Movements, in 2014. The band then toured in several Asian countries as well as in Europe and the US. Their next release was the No Problem! EP in 2015, which was followed by the Thumbs Up EP in 2017. The groupâs most popular single, âAll That You Wantâ (2017), was released as part of SM Entertainmentâs weekly digital single release program and ended up on the compilation album SM Station Season 2. The Solutions played several high profile including the legendary SXSW Music Festival in the US. Their third album, Signature, was released in 2019 and followed by the Load EP a year later. After a four year wait, The Solutions returned with their fourth album, N/A, in 2024.
