Biography

The SmashUp, a post-hardcore and punk rock band from New York City, was formed in 2001. The group released their self-produced EP The Smashup in 2004. In 2005, they debuted with the album Being and Becoming, followed by Untreatable. The band toured sharing stages with acts such as Coheed and Cambria, Eighteen Visions, Megadeth, Lamb of God, Deftones, and Thrice. In 2010, they released their third studio album The Sea and the Serpents Beneath under Eulogy Recordings. The SmashUp contributed to soundtracks for films like Saw III (2006), with the song "Effigy", and Feast, featuring "Never Going To Kill Us".
