Biography

The Ragpicker String Band is a folk-blues trio based in Memphis, Tennessee, consisting of Rich DelGrosso on mandolin, Mary Flower on guitar, and Martin Grosswendt on multiple instruments. Their debut album, The Ragpicker String Band, was released on August 14, 2015, via Yellow Dog Records. Mixed by Stuart Sullivan at Wire Recording in Austin, Texas, and produced by Mark "Kaz" Kazanoff, the self-titled album garnered critical acclaim. It was nominated for Best Acoustic Album of the Year at the 2016 Blues Music Awards, and received an Aâ grade from Robert Christgau, who highlighted their cover of "Google Blues" and praised DelGrosso's mandolin playing.
