Biography
The Radiators, an American rock band from Newâ¯Orleans, Louisiana, was founded in 1978 and consisted of keyboardist and vocalist Edâ¯Volker, guitarist Daveâ¯Malone, guitarist Camileâ¯Baudoin, bassist Reggieâ¯Scanlan and drummer Frankâ¯Buaâ¯Jr. After a 1978 jam session, the group released the live double album Workâ¯Doneâ¯onâ¯Premises in 1980, followed by the studio album Heatâ¯Generation in 1981, both on the Croaker label. Signing with Epic Records in 1987 yielded the albums Lawâ¯ofâ¯theâ¯Fish (1987) and ZigâZaggin'â¯Throughâ¯Ghostland (1989). Subsequent albums include Bucketâ¯ofâ¯Fish (1994), New Dark Ages (1995), and Dreamingâ¯Outâ¯Loud (2006). The Radiators disbanded in 2011 following â¯Volkerâs retirement, but they continue to reunite annually for concerts at Tipitinaâs and perform at the Newâ¯Orleans Jazzâ¯&â¯Heritageâ¯Festival.
