Biography

The Prize Fighter Inferno is an acoustic/electronica project created by Claudio Sanchez, lead singer and guitarist of Coheed and Cambria, alongside his wife Chondra Echert in 1999. The duo released four official songs that were made available online in 2003. Their debut album, My Brother’s Blood Machine, was released on October 31, 2006, through Equal Vision Records, and featured notable tracks such as "Who Watches the Watchmen?" and "78". In 2012, they released the EP Half Measures. On July 10, 2020, the duo released the EP Stray Bullets, which included the track "Stand By Me", a cover of Ben E. King's song. Their second album, The City Introvert, was released on April 23, 2021 via Evil Ink Records. The Prize Fighter Inferno embarked on their first tour on February 17, 2024.
