Biography

The Pork Dukes is an English punk rock band formed in 1976 during the first wave of British punk in London. The group included twin brothers Colin Goldring and Stewart Goldring, alongside Rick Kemp, Nigel Pegrum, and Mack E. Valley. They released a debut single, "Bend and Flush" / "Throbbing Gristle" (1977), on Wood Records. Despite airplay struggles due to lyrical content, they gained support from BBC Radio 1 DJ John Peel. Their true identities were initially a closely guarded secret, with rumors circulating about their actual members. Their debut album, Pink Pork (1978), was followed by Pig Out of Hell (1980) and Pig In A Poke (1982). They broke up in 1979 but reformed in April 2001 to record the song "Save the Pigs", and subsequently toured and recorded. Notable releases included the live album Squeal Meat Again! (2002) and the compilation album All the Filth! (1999), which featured previously unreleased tracks from their 1970s era recordings.
