The Planet Wilson was an English rock band from Hull that formed after the breakup of The Red Guitars in 1985. Founding members Hallam Lewis and Lou Howard, along with Grant Ardis and Jonah Lacey-Hatton on drums, signed to Virgin Records and released their debut album In the Best of All Possible Worlds in 1988. This was followed by Not Drowning But Waving in 1989 under Records of Achievement. Notable singles include "White Lies" (1988) and "Taken For A Ride" (1989). The Planet Wilson later disbanded, with Lewis going on to operate his own recording studio in Hull.
