Biography

The Paul McKenna Band, a five-piece folk group from Glasgow, Scotland, was formed in 2006, consisting of Paul McKenna, Sean Gray, David McNee, Ruairidh MacMillan, and Ewan Baird. Their debut album, Between Two Worlds, was released in 2009 on Greentrax Records and was produced by Dick Gaughan. The band toured extensively throughout the UK and Europe from 2009 to 2010, winning the award for Best Up and Coming Artist at the Scots Trad Music Awards in November 2009. They released their second album, Stem the Tide, in 2011, followed by Elements in 2013. The Paul McKenna Band subsequently toured internationally, performing at major folk festivals such as Milwaukee Irish Fest and Cambridge Folk Festival. Subsequent albums include Paths That Wind in 2016 and Breath in 2019.
