Biography

Although British, The Pasadenas vocal quintet is influenced by the rhythm 'n' blues of Stax and the soul of Motown. Formed in 1988, the group owes its name to the two Milliner brothers, who were born in Pasadena, California. The Pasadenas got off to a good start with the hit "Tribute (Right On) " and the album To Whom It May Concern . The band quickly ran out of steam with 1990's Elevate , but redressed the balance with 1991's I'm Doing Fine Now. Released in 1992, the album Yours Sincerly was close to the UK top five. Although they split up in 2005, The Pasadenas didn't record anything after that, apart from Phoenix (1995), which wasn't released commercially.
