Biography
The Naked was a Danish indie rock band formed in the late 1980s by Kasper Andersen and Jacob Als Thomsen. Initially known as Naked Lunch, the band later shortened their name to the Naked. Their debut album, All the Good Things are Gone, was released in 1994 under the AGM Music label. The Naked introduced a distinctive experimental sound to the Copenhagen music scene, drawing inspiration from post-punk acts like Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine. Their second album, Pass Out (1996), produced by Chris Brokaw of Come and Codeine, showcased a more introverted style while retaining their dissonant elements. The band supported Come on their 1998 tour of northern Europe and opened for acts like Mercury Rev and Smog in Copenhagen. After disbanding in 1999, many members continued their musical careers in various projects.
