The Mustard Seeds, an American rock band formed in 1993, consisted of Matt and Gregg Bissonette, George Bernhardt, Doug Bossi, and Jorge Palacios. The brothers, who had previously worked with David Lee Roth and Joe Satriani, decided to form their own group after growing tired of session work. They released their self-titled debut album The Mustard Seeds in January 1996 through Entourage Records. The band's breakthrough came when they were taken under the wing of music manager Doc McGhee and promoted by Uwe Block, leading to festival appearances and TV spots for songs like "Quicksand" and "Cats & Dogs". Their second album Red was released in 1998 through Radio Mafia Records. The band disbanded in 1999 but reunited briefly in 2007-2008, releasing the album III.
