Biography

The Love Generation is an American pop-rock band formed in 1967, consisting of John Bahler, Tom Bahler, Mitch Gordon, Jimmy Wasson, Marilyn Miller, and Annie White. The group originated from the Imperial Records stable, where John and Tom Bahler were vocalists for the Ron Hicklin Singers. Their debut single "She Touched Me / The Love In Me" marked their entry into the music scene. The band released three albums during their active years: The Love Generation (1967), Montage (1968), and A Generation Of Love (1968). Notable songs include "Together (Havin' a Ball)", which was featured in the pilot episode of The Partridge Family. The band also contributed to The Partridge Family Album as backing vocalists. Despite their studio success, The Love Generation did not tour and disbanded in 1969. After the split, John and Tom Bahler worked on various projects, including The Going Thing with Janis Hansen and Larry Carlton. In 2003, a compilation CD of material from their three albums was released by Rev-Ola Records, featuring liner notes by Steve Stanley.
