The Kerplunks, a Canadian children's music group from Gabriola Island was formed in 2006 by Dinah D and Tina Jones. After meeting in 2005 and teaching a musical preschool program together, they began performing original songs in a local production, which led to the bandâs creation. They were later joined by Jocelyn Hallett, Phil Wipper, and Aaron Cadwaladr. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2007 and received several award nominations, including the JUNO Award. The band's second album, Walk On, was released in 2009. Another successful album, Number 3, was released the following year. In 2016, Tina Jones left the band. The Kerplunks have been nominated for multiple Juno Awards and won several Parents Choice Awards.
