Biography

The Henry Clay People, an American indie rock band, was formed by brothers Joey and Andy Siara. Initially known as Vallejo by Knife, they changed their name to The Henry Clay People in 2005 and released the album, Birdman & (the) Squid, in 2005. Their second album, Blacklist the Kid with the Red Moustache, followed in 2007. The band toured extensively across the United States, performing at major festivals like Lollapalooza and Coachella. Their album Twenty-Five for the Rest of Our Lives (2012) received critical acclaim from outlets such as Consequence of Sound and Paste Magazine. The Henry Clay People also appeared in film and television, including the 2009 movie Timer. The band disbanded in 2013, playing their final show on August 17 at Echo Park Rising in Los Angeles.
