Biography
The Grimm is an American garage rock band formed in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1961. Centered around singer and guitarist Greg Ericksen, the band includes Tommy Hopkins (guitar), Brett Raymond (keyboards), Levi Wunderlich (bass), and Joel Stevenett (drums). The band gained recognition on the local scene and evolved under the combined influences of the British Invasion and garage rock, and later psychedelia. Two singles were released in 1969 on the SVN Records label, âThe Darkness and the Nightâ and âThe Beggerâ, before the band broke up. Following the release of the compilations Lost Tracks (2018) and Lost Tracks (2020), The Grimm reunited and recorded the albums Oculus (2021), Grimm Times (2023), and Grimm Fairy Tales (2026), along with numerous singles. In 2026, the title track âSomewhere in the Nightâ reached No. 27 on the Adult Contemporary Songs chart.
