Biography

The Fauves, a rock music group from Australia, formed in 1988. Their initial release was the EP This Mood Has Passed in March 1990. The band released several singles throughout the 1990s, including "Fireman 451" (1990), "Daughter Abroad" (1991), "Thin Body Thin Body" (1993), and "Marble Arse" (1994). Their notable albums from this period include Drive through Charisma (1993) and The Young Need Discipline (1994). The band has also released multiple albums such as Thousand Yard Stare (2000), Footage Missing (2002), Driveway Heart Attack (2019), and Tropical Strength (2024), showcasing their enduring presence in the Australian rock scene. Their album Future Spa (1996) was nominated at the ARIA Awards for Best Adult Alternative Album in 1997.
