Biography

The Farewell Drifters, an American roots band from Nashville, Tennessee, formed when mandolinist Joshua Britt and lead singer Zach Bevill bonded over their shared love of '60s LPs. The quintet, which also includes Clayton Britt on guitar, Christian Sedelmyer on violin, and Dean Marold on bass, released their first nationally distributed album Yellow Tag Mondays in 2010 through Heart Squeeze Records. This debut received critical acclaim for its vocal harmony, songwriting, and retro sound, earning them a spot as "Best of What's Next" by Paste Magazine. Their follow-up album Echo Boom, released in 2011, debuted at number 6 on the Billboard Bluegrass Charts. The Farewell Drifters have performed at notable festivals such as MerleFest and were featured on NPR’s Says You! program in 2009. Their subsequent album Tomorrow Forever was released in 2014 under Compass Records.
