Biography

The Explorers Club is an American pop-rock band formed in 2005 and is led by Jason Brewer, featuring a rotating cast of musicians. The band signed with Dead Oceans in 2007 and released their debut album, Freedom Wind, in 2008. Their music is heavily influenced by Beach Boys-style vocal harmonies as well as classic rock and pop artists such as the Beatles, the Zombies, and Phil Spector, with later work incorporating soft-pop influences from the early 1970s. The band’s music has appeared in television series including The O.C., How I Met Your Mother, and Bored to Death. They released Grand Hotel in 2012, Together in 2016 after relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, and in 2020 released both a self-titled album and the covers album To Sing And Be Born Again, followed by Wattage in 2022.
