Biography
The Dexateens are a rock band formed in 1998. The original lineup included Elliott McPherson, John Smith, Craig Gates, Craig "Sweet Dog" Pickering, and Matt Patton. The group released the debut album The Dexateens (2004), followed by Red Dust Rising (2005). In 2007, Brian Gosdin joined on drums for the album Hardwire Healing (2007). Their recordings include the album Singlewide (2009). The Dexateens performed at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in 2009. Although the group disbanded in 2010, they returned in 2013 with the EP Sunsphere (2013). Their discography includes the album Teenage Hallelujah (2016) and the live album Live from Athens, GA - Heathens Homecoming 2020 (2020).
