Biography

The Deku Trio is a smooth jazz ensemble best known for its Zelda & Jazz series: albums that reinterpret music from The Legend of Zelda video game franchise in intimate jazz trio arrangements, featuring piano, double bass and soft percussion. A collaboration between pianist, arranger and producer Rob Araujo (also associated with Chillhop) and sound engineer Chris Davidson aka DJ Cutman of the GameChops label, their music reinvents classic Zelda soundtrack themes with a rich, hushed jazz sensibility typical of cafÃ©-concerts. Their series comprises several volumes, Zelda & Jazz (2024), Zelda & Jazz II (2024) and Zelda & Jazz III (2025).
