Biography
The Convocation Of, a Baltimore psychedelic rock band, was formed in August 1998 by George France on drums, Tonie Joy on guitar and vocals, and Guy Blakeslee on bass. The group released their debut EP Lab Remix Series Vol. 3 followed by their self-titled album The Convocation Of... on Gold Standard Laboratories in 2000. Their second album, Pyramid Technology, was released on Tigerstyle Records in 2001. After Blakeslee's departure in early 2002 and a subsequent hiatus, the band reunited in 2005 under the name The Convocation with Matthew Hall on bass. Hall was later replaced by Jason Stevens in 2008, followed by Chris Camden and then Donny Van Zandt.
