Biography

The Blood of Heroes is a music project based in Brooklyn, United States. Formed in 2009, the initial lineup included Submerged, Justin Broadrick, Dr. Israel, Enduser, Mark Gregor Filip, Balázs Pándi, and Bill Laswell. The group's name is derived from the 1989 post-apocalyptic film The Blood of Heroes, starring Rutger Hauer. Their debut album, The Blood of Heroes, was released on April 4, 2010, via Ohm Resistance. In 2010, they followed up with a remix album titled Remain. The group's second studio album, The Waking Nightmare, was released in 2012 and was ranked fourth on The Quietus' "Best Metal of 2013" list. Their third studio album, Nine Cities, was released in 2023.
