Biography

The Blackeyed Susans are an Australian rock band formed in Perth in 1989. Initially known as the Bottomless Schooners of Old, they adopted their name from a Triffids track titled "Blackeyed Susan" and released their first extended play, Some Births are Worse than Murders, in 1990, which topped the independent charts in Australia. The band underwent several lineup changes before releasing their debut studio album, Welcome Stranger, in 1992. Notable subsequent albums include All Souls Alive (1993), Mouth to Mouth (1995), and Spin the Bottle (1997). The band released Shangri-La in 2003, followed by Close Your Eyes and See in 2017.
