Biography

The Applicators, an all-female pop punk band from Austin, Texas, formed in January 1999. The group initially gained traction with their debut album What's Your Excuse, released in 2001. Their breakthrough came when Bad Religion guitarist Greg Hetson produced their subsequent work after seeing one of their live performances. The Applicators embarked on national tours with notable acts such as Circle Jerks, Buzzcocks, and Teen Idols. Their discography includes the album My Weapon (2006) and EPs such as 17 Again (2002) and The Applicators (2003). The band's music, influenced by classic punk bands like The Misfits and Motörhead, has been featured on various compilations including Vans Off The Wall Vol. VIII.
