Biography

Thaitanium, a Thai-American hip hop group formed in 2000 by Khanngoen "Khan" Nuanual, Prinya "Way" Intachai, and Nay Myo "Day" Thant, helped to pioneer Thai rap. Their debut album, AA, was released in Thailand in 2000 and 2002 after being produced in New York City. Subsequent albums like Thai Riders (2002) and R.A.S. (Resisting Against da System) (2004) boosted their popularity. Thaitanium performed the soundtrack to the Thai film Province 77 and collaborated with Tata Young on "Dangerous" (2005). They appeared at the 2006 MTV Asia Awards and opened for Fort Minor and 50 Cent in Bangkok. Notable singles include "WAKE UP (Bangkok City)", featuring Snoop Dogg, released in 2014. The group's impact on Thai hip hop is marked by their extensive discography and numerous awards, including the 2009 AVIMA Award for Best Hip Hop Group, along with Dice & Koy9 from Mobb-star.
