Biography
Ahli Fiqir was a Malaysia-based Singaporean hip-hop group, active between 2003 and 2010. Unlike many of their contemporaries, they were known for writing their lyrics in Malay instead of English. Originally composed of rappers Noor âDayatâ Hidayat, Fadali âDalyâ Mohd Darif, and Samsolnahar âSamsolâ Sibengat, the group consolidated its lineup with the addition of producer Ceza âDJ Czaâ Mutyara and made its debut in 2005 with the full-length Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah. The album was well-received in Singapore, where it won Best Album at the 2006 Anugerah Planet Muzik Awards. Ahli Fiqir returned in 2007 with the full-length Rap Untuk Rakyat, followed by Irama Berima (2009), their last release before calling it quits in 2010.
