Jevon Jones, known professionally as Tha Realest, and born on October 11, 1973, in Dallas, Texas, is a rapper. He began rapping at age 10 and competed in local rap battles. In March 1996, Jones auditioned for Tupac Shakur and subsequently signed with Death Row Records following Shakur's death. His first appearance was on the Gang Related soundtrack under the pseudonym Tenkamenin. He contributed to several Death Row compilations, including Suge Knight Represents: Chronic 2000. In late 2001, Jones left Death Row and formed his own label, 2 Real Entertainment (later Omertà Entertainment). His debut album, Witness Tha Realest, was released on July 14, 2009.
