Teresa Carpio, born on September 30, 1956, in Hong Kong, is a Cantonese-language pop singer. Born into a musical family, she began singing at age six and won Hong Kong's first Amateur Talent Quest. In 1971, Carpio released her debut single "Ainoko Mary" in Japan. Returning to Hong Kong, she worked in various nightclubs before signing with EMI. From 1975 onwards, she released multiple albums, including six that went gold. Notable songs include "If", "I Still Remember That Time", and "True Love". Carpio also ventured into acting, appearing in films like Happy Ghost (1984) and Truth or Dare: 6th Floor Rear Flat (2003). She headlined the Hong Kong Coliseum in 1983. In 1991, she began teaching singing, mentoring artists such as Sandy Lam and Sammi Cheng. Carpio competed on Hunan TV's Singer 2017, making it to the second knockout round.
