Vespas Mandarinas, a Brazilian indie rock band from São Paulo, formed in 2009. Their debut EP Da Doo Ron Ron launched their career. In 2013, they released Animal Nacional, which was nominated for the 14th Latin Grammy Awards in the Best Brazilian Rock Album category. The album featured notable tracks like "Cobra de Vidro" and "Santa Sampa," with collaborations from Arnaldo Antunes and Bernardo Vilhena. They performed at Lollapalooza and gained significant radio play in São Paulo. In 2015, they released the EP O Ovo Enjaulado, including a collaboration with Mark Arm of Mudhoney. Their second album, Daqui Pro Futuro (2017), featured Samuel Rosa of Skank. In 2018, guitarist Chuck Hipolitho left, leading to acoustic performances and new members.
