Biography

Tarcísio do Acordeon, born Tarcísio de Lima Sousa on November 4, 1993, in Campos Sales, Ceará, is a Brazilian forró singer, composer, and accordionist who has become a prominent name in the genres of forró, vaquejada, and piseiro. Raised in a modest environment, he began playing guitar and accordion as a child, giving his first performance at age 12 in a local band. After years of performing and selling vegetables alongside his father, he launched a solo career under his current stage name, releasing his breakout album Diferente dos Iguais in 2020. The record featured hits like "Meia Noite (Você Tem Meu WhatsApp)," which reached the top of the Brazilian streaming charts in early 2021, solidifying his reputation as a forró powerhouse. That year, he also released the EP Meu Sonho Pt. 2, which featured the track "Proteção de Tela." He followed this success with chart-topping collaborations, including "Esquema Preferido" with DJ Ivis and "Só Não Divulga" with Fernando & Sorocaba. Known for blending traditional accordion-driven melodies with contemporary rhythms, Tarcísio do Acordeon’s hits like "Obsessão" with Xand Avião and "A Pior Parte" with Renno showcase his innovative style. With multiple acclaimed albums and collaborations, Tarcísio do Acordeon continues to redefine modern Brazilian forró. Other popular releases followed in the upcoming years, including Só Resta Beber (2022), Forró Pesado (2023), and Sai do Mêi (2024).
