Taisho Maeda, born on 16 September 1995 in Kanagawa, Japan, is a Jâpop singer and actor who began his career as a member of the entertainment group Candy Boy in 2014. After a decade with the group, which disbanded on 7 July 2024, Taisho Maeda transitioned to solo activities under the selfâproduced idol concept "BothâSided Love SelfâProduction Idol" and launched his first solo single "Beautiful World âUtsukushiki Bokura no Sekaiâ" on 5 January 2026. The single entered the daily Oricon chart at number four and the weekly chart at number three, while its accompanying track "Love is a Maze" peaked at number two on the daily and number five on the Billboard Japan weekly sales chart. Taisho Maedaâs debut EP, GrandâBrandâNew, was released digitally on 16 September 2025 and achieved a topâfive position on the streaming service's Japan JâPop album chart. He has also appeared in the films 100 manen no sentaku (2026) and Morgue no Yoru ni (2026).
