Biography

Takki & Tsubasa was a Japanese male idol duo consisting of Hideaki Takizawa and Tsubasa Imai. Formed under Johnny & Associates, they debuted in 2002 with the mini-album Hatachi, which was simultaneously released in several Asian countries, including Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Indonesia. The duo was initially set to debut as solo artists, but Takizawa proposed forming a group instead, leading to their official debut on September 11, 2002. In 2003, their single "Yume Monogatari" became their first Oricon No. 1 hit and achieved long-lasting success. Over the years, they participated in major events, including serving as the main personalities for 24-Hour TV in 2007. Their 10th anniversary was marked by a nationwide tour in 2012, followed by another tour in 2014. However, health issues forced Imai to take a break, leaving Takizawa to perform solo. In September 2017, the duo announced an indefinite hiatus to focus on their individual careers. The group officially disbanded on September 10, 2018, with Takizawa retiring from entertainment by the end of the year. One of their notable releases is "Dakinatsu" (2014).
