Biography

Synaesthesia was a Canadian ambient band formed in the 1990s by industrial musicians Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber as a side project of their main band, Front Line Assembly. The duo initially kept their involvement secret due to contractual issues, releasing their first two albums, Embody (1995) and Desideratum (1995), under the pseudonym "R. Deckard." Their third album, Ephemeral, released in 1997, was the first to credit Leeb and Fulber directly. The band's music incorporated symphonic passages, traditional rhythms, nature sounds, and menacing electronic sounds, featuring samples from various musicians and the film Fire in the Sky.
