Biography

Sweet Pill is an American emo band based in Philadelphia. They were formed in 2018 in Glassboro, New Jersey, by vocalist Zayna Youssef and guitarist Jayce Williams during their time at Rowan University. Their debut single "Doubt" was released in March 2019, followed by the EP Lost In It a month later. The band's lineup expanded with the addition of drummer Chris Kearney in 2019, and guitarist Sean McCall and bassist Ryan Cullen in 2021. Sweet Pill moved to Philadelphia during the COVID-19 pandemic and played their first show as a group with McCall and Cullen at the FDR Skatepark in May 2021. In March 2022, they announced their debut album Where the Heart Is, releasing singles "Blood", "High Hopes", and "Diamond Eyes". On September 27, 2023, the band signed to Hopeless Records and released the single "Starchild". The album Still There's a Glow was released on March 13, 2026 on Hopeless Records.
