Suziliene McDonald, known professionally as Suzi Lane, was an American singer and model born in the United States. She adopted the stage name Suzi Lane prior to the release of her debut album Ooh, La, La in 1979. Produced by Giorgio Moroder, who was also working with Donna Summer at the time, the album featured the hit singles "Harmony" and "Ooh, La, La," reaching Number 1 on Billboard magazine's Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The dance hit remained on the chart for six months. Following the release of her debut album, Lane was involved in a car accident that resulted in serious facial injuries, leading to three years of seclusion at her home in Las Vegas. During this period, she was discovered by Ford Modeling while visiting her sisters who worked as fashion models and subsequently had contracts with Lane Bryant and Hanes.
