Biography
Surfer Blood, an American indie rock band from West Palm Beach, Florida, formed in 2009. Founding members John Paul Pitts and Tyler Schwarz started playing music together under various names before settling on Surfer Blood. Their debut single "Swim" (2010) gained critical acclaim. The band released their debut album Astro Coast in 2010 and were widely recognized as a breakout act at the CMJ Music Marathon. They toured extensively, playing notable festivals such as SXSW and Summer Sonic. Surfer Blood released their second album Pythons in 2013 and third album 1000 Palms in 2015. Original guitarist Thomas Fekete left the band due to a medical diagnosis in 2015 and passed away on May 31, 2016. The band's fourth album Snowdonia was released in 2017 following Fekete's death.
